Rare Plants and Natural Communities in Greylock Glen in Western Massachusetts
Biodrawversity completed an intensive botanical survey in the 1,063-acre Greylock Glen in Adams, Massachusetts. The project was required for the environmental review and planning for a proposed outdoor recreation and education facility and nearly 50 kilometers of new or upgraded multi-use trails. The survey documented 439 plant species, including 21 state-listed or watch-list species and two extremely rare orchids (Endangered in Massachusetts) that had never been documented in the area.
